The herbal one, and the hardest sell in a photograph. Yarrow is bitter and green and a bit medicinal, and once it settles over oakmoss and hay it turns into the smell of a back field in August. People who like it like it more than anything else we make.
Burn it with: A screen door, a tomato plant, and dirt under your nails.
Best in: Kitchens, porches, and late summer.

Getting the most out of it
The first burn sets the rest
Let the pool reach the edge of the vessel before you put it out, even if that takes two hours. Wax has a memory, and a first burn that stops short will tunnel for the life of the candle.
Trim the wick, every time
Wooden wicks want about 3 mm. Pinch the burnt lip off with your fingers before each burn. A long wick smokes, soots the glass, and burns through your candle a third faster.
Four hours is the limit
Past four hours the vessel gets hot enough to change how the fragrance reads. Put it out, let it cool, light it again after dinner.
Stop at 10 mm
When there is about a centimetre of wax left, retire the candle. Wash the vessel out with hot water and keep it. The stoneware is the point.
